Purdue Bros Ltd is one of Southland’s most respected transport companies offering a contractor truck, specialised projects, Royal Wolf Container, a specialised crane fleet able to lift up to 12 tonnes and a fly jib. The fleet is also capable of transporting 27-metre long-run iron with a trombone trailer.
The fleet comes with crane accessories including an auger, pallet forks, workman’s basket, man bucket, concrete bucket and more to get a wide range of jobs done. Class 1 and Class 2 pilots are available for over-dimensional loads.

Specialised crane fleet for a range of projects with certified operators
Purdue Bros Ltd has a large fleet of cranes to service a variety of different projects. All trucks come with relevant safety devices and certification to measure the weight of the loads. The cranes are operated by remote control by certified Purdue Bros crane operators. Purdue Bros have nine certified crane operators on their team.
Rear mounted knuckle boom crane
Purdue Bros Ltd fleet of cranes includes a rear mounted knuckle boom crane attached to a 5-axle truck. This crane can lift up to 12 tonnes which makes it the ideal crane for large projects such as lifting roofing iron, roof trusses and concrete slabs.
Fly Jib
Rated to lift up to 3 tonnes, Purdue Bros fly jib crane is attached to a crane to give it a larger height and further distance of reach. The fly jib crane is used to move large objects in and out of buildings and to lift trusses and roofing iron into place.
Man Bucket
Purdue Bros Ltd fleet includes a man bucket hired out at an hourly rate. With a reach of 30m, this bucket is attached to a crane and is used for lifting a man in to place to complete work. The bucket is certified and a Purdue Bros certified crane operator is provided with every hire. Common jobs a man bucket is used for include:

Transportation permits and consents fully managed
Purdue Bros Ltd will take care of all permits and consents required to move an over dimension load. We will submit a specialised transport plan which is dependent on the type of load, size and route to be travelled. Our class 1 and 2 pilots will travel with your over dimension load to ensure a safe journey whether it be a garage, sleepout, building frame or truss, float plane or helicopter.
Trombone Trailer
Purdue Bros Ltd's trombone trailer has a 22m long deck, perfect for transporting long-run iron and bridge beams. The trailer can shorten or extend depending on the load and extend up to 26m long.
